The Norfolk branches have named their first award winners of 2026. Ebb and Flow, a 4.8% American Stout from Duration Brewing, was named the top Can-Conditioned Beer of Norfolk for 2026. This is the second year running that the West Norfolk brewery, based in West Acre, has taken the top accolade with this beer.
The beer was described as having ‘a slightly sweet roastiness on which caramel, trace vanilla, and a light hoppiness rest and add depth. A rich, coffee-like finish rolls ever onward.’
The brewery also took third place with their Sweeping Coast, a 4.8% Premium Pale Ale described as ‘Clean and dry with a blooming burst of American hops giving a fresh resinous uplift. A fresh, uplifting, follow-through’.
In between, the runner up was Ampersand – Bitter, a 3.9% session bitter. The Diss-brewed beer met the judges’ favour, being described as having a ‘sweet, perfumy nose that leads into an almond bitterness that slowly dries out. Well balanced with a peppery aftertaste’.
