On one day every* year since 2011, usually in June or July, Norwich & District branch members visit every pub in Norwich and record details of the real ales and ciders on sale that day.
The latest survey was carried out on July 29th, 2023, with 168 pubs visited by 27 volunteers, who found 265 different beers available, in a total of 464 beers on sale on handpump or gravity. These are both an improvement on 2022, but still not close to pre-COVID levels, with around 120 handpumps fewer in use in 2023 than 2019.
