You may know that every year, as a branch, we survey every pub in Norwich on a single day and record the various ales served in the pubs. We’ve been doing this for over a decade, and this year, we have decided to take it one step further and try to survey every pub in the Norwich & District branch!
This almost trebles the number of pubs we need volunteers to survey. So if you live outside Norwich, in a town a few pubs, or a village with just one, or you know someone who would be a designated driver for the day, we would like to tell you more.
The survey itself will take place on Saturday June 14th. All that’s needed is for you to visit the pub(s) on that day. Ideally, stay for a drink, and while you are there, write down all real ales available and their prices. This doesn’t need to be done in secret, and we typically find that most publicans are more than happy to help out if needed.
Once you’ve completed the form, you have two options: either photograph the form and email us the results, or if you prefer, we always have a central hub for the day, which this time will be the Leopard Pub in Norwich. We will be there from about 2pm until 7-8pm, so you can hand in your completed form(s), and we will buy you a pint for your troubles (minimum 4 pubs surveyed).
If you are interested in helping, please contact Craig on pubsurvey@norwich.camra.org.uk, and let us know where you live, what pubs you would be willing to survey for us, or just an area you would be willing to help cover.
