By the 18th Festival, which ran from October 23rd-28th, Alan Edwards was the organiser, and among the 180 beers there were none from Greene King, due to their policy on advertising as real ale beer in cans with widgets, or Charles Wells, due to their use of swan necks with tight sparklers.
Admission was free for CAMRA members, varied from 50p to £4 for non-members, and the souvenir glass was priced at £2.
