Campaign Coach Trip, April 24th 2026
Summer is on the way! So nice to begin a Norwich & District CAMRA evening coach trip in the light. Starting at The Swan Inn in Horning, we moved on to The Crown Inn (Catfield) and then The Harnser in Stalham before finishing up at the Hotel Wroxham. Great pubs, very friendly staff and locals and plenty of fine beers on offer.

This week’s theme was ‘dog friendly pubs’. And we found dogs, friendliness and many fine beers in the Queens Head (Thurlton), the Butchers Arms and the Old Tap (Beccles), the White Lion (Brooke, pictured) and the Poringland Oak.

Twenty five folk set out from Norwich on Friday the Thirteenth (!) in search of five country pubs in which to spend the afternoon.
And our luck was in, as we found some beauties.
The Ship (Weybourne), The Wheatsheaf (West Beckham), The Goat (Skeyton), The Crown (Banningham) and The Chequers (Hainford) all gave us a warm welcome and reminded us of how lucky we are to live where we do!

With ‘real fires’ as a theme, we visited the Marsham Arms at Hevingham, Kings Arms, Reepham, the Fox at Lyng, and the Silver Fox at Taverham.
First Friday Five February 7th 2026
Starting at the Rose Inn and then Freemasons, Kings Arms, Trafford Arms and finishing at the Champion.

Visiting four Norfolk pubs, the Falcon at Pulham Market, the Fighting Cocks at Winfarthing, the Cock in Attleborough, and the Bird in the Hand at Wreningham.
